🇲🇼 新コーチ・Edoのご紹介！
EFAにとってとても貴重な存在、マラウィ出身のコーチEdoが仲間に加わってくれました👏
📝豆知識：マラウィは「アフリカの温かい心」と呼ばれる国。アフリカ南東部に位置し、優しい人柄で知られています。そんな国から日本に来て、EFAで子どもたちと一緒にサッカーをしてくれるなんてとても珍しいことです✨(現在は神戸大の学生)
Edoとはもともとサッカー仲間で、KIUの試合にも何度か参加してくれていました。そのときから彼の穏やかな人柄に確信を持ち、「EFAで一緒にやらないか？」と声をかけたところ、快く承諾してくれたのです。
EFAが大切にしているのは、英語やサッカーのスキルだけではなく、その人柄。子どもたちの前でどんな振る舞いができるかを見極めてからオファーをしました。以前コーチをしてくれていたYemiが東京に引っ越してしまったこともあり、「良い人柄のコーチを迎えたい」と思っていた時に出会えたご縁です。
Edoは本当に穏やかで、まさに「良い人」という言葉がぴったり。少しシャイなところは日本人に似ているかもしれません😊

We’re so excited to welcome Edo from Malawi to the EFA family!
📝 Fun fact: Malawi is known as “The Warm Heart of Africa” — a country in Southeast Africa famous for its kind and gentle people. Having a coach from Malawi here in Japan is truly rare, and such a special opportunity for our players. ✨
I first met Edo as a football teammate — he even joined a few KIU matches with us. From the very beginning, I was impressed by his calm and genuine personality. That’s when I asked him, “Why don’t you join us at EFA?” and he kindly accepted.
At EFA, what matters most is not just English or football skills, but the character and personality of our coaches. We want role models who can set the right example in front of our players. Edo is exactly that.
He’s calm, kind, and simply a “good person.” In fact, he’s a little bit shy just like many Japanese people 😉
So players, don’t be shy yourselves go talk to Edo and make him feel at home!
