英語とサッカーの結びつき

【個々の大きな成長】

奈良で開催された大会に出場。個人の判断力や技術面で特に成長を感じられた試合でした。

そして昼休みに大会に参加していた選手達全員に英語とサッカーの結びつきについて話をしました。

テーマは"英語が自分に何をもたらしてくれるのか"。

子ども達にグループディスカッションで考えてもらいながら進めていきました。

▪️英語を話すことで世界中の人達と出会うことができる

▪️英語はインターネット上でも共通語である。結果として日本語だけよりも見つけられる資料が何倍にも多く、情報が無限に検索できる。

▪️英語が話せれば世界中へ進学、就職、はたまた世界中のプロサッカーリーグに自ら調べてアクセスする事ができる。

少しでも英語に興味を持ってくれる選手が増えれば嬉しいです😊

I happened to have an opportunity to have talked to the players who join the football festival yesterday.

The theme of the talk was "why did English become important".

It's easy to see just how important English is around the world. Many international businesses conduct meetings in English, universities teach courses in English and, around the world, tourists and travellers use English as a common language.

Then how would you tell kids in non English speaking countries about it?

A very difficult mission, isn't?

This is how I broke down to tell them.

- Learning English can help you meet new people.

- English is the language of internet.

- With English, you can play football all over the world.

Hope they loved the talk, and realize how important it can be for their lives👍
